WHAT HAPPENS TO THOSE WHO MOCK GOD?

To "mock" means to imitate in a disrespectful manner, or to treat with contempt. Satan is the ultimate mocker of anything or anyone that is good, but humans can become just as evil, usually as a matter of arrogance i.e. to "look down" upon someone by mocking them.

Galatians 6:7-9

King James Version (KJV)
Be not deceived; God is not mocked: for whatsoever a man soweth, that shall he also reap.
For he that soweth to his flesh shall of the flesh reap corruption; but he that soweth to the Spirit shall of the Spirit reap life everlasting.
And let us not be weary in well doing: for in due season we shall reap, if we faint not.

I just came across a photo today of President Obama on the cover of Newsweek Magazine for January 2013 and also 2010...you decide for yourself what to make of these photo's. Here is the photo and after you see the photo, lets review what Biblical Scripture from KJV has to say about those who mock God...

Jesus Christ prophesied that He would be mocked and tortured:
"10:33 Saying, Behold, we go up to Jerusalem; and the Son of man shall be delivered unto the chief priests, and unto the scribes; and they shall condemn him to death, and shall deliver him to the Gentiles: 10:34 And they shall mock him, and shall scourge him, and shall spit upon him, and shall kill him: and the third day he shall rise again" (Mark 10:33-34 KJV)
The mockery later happened just as He said that it would. Christ's entire crucifixion was a mockery of truth and righteousness:
Mocked
"22:63 And the men that held Jesus mocked him, and smote him. 22:64 And when they had blindfolded him, they struck him on the face, and asked him, saying, Prophesy, who is it that smote thee?" (Luke 22:63-64 KJV)"23:11 And Herod with his men of war set him at nought, and mocked him, and arrayed him in a gorgeous robe, and sent him again to Pilate." (Luke 23:11 KJV)
"23:35 And the people stood beholding. And the rulers also with them derided him, saying, He saved others; let him save himself, if he be Christ, the chosen of God. 23:36 And the soldiers also mocked him, coming to him, and offering him vinegar, 23:37 And saying, If thou be the king of the Jews, save thyself." (Luke 23:35-37 KJV)
And so too, Christ's people through the ages have often been mocked amidst horrendous tribulation:
"11:36 And others had trial of cruel mockings and scourgings, yea, moreover of bonds and imprisonment: 11:37 They were stoned, they were sawn asunder, were tempted, were slain with the sword: they wandered about in sheepskins and goatskins; being destitute, afflicted, tormented; 11:38 Of whom the world was not worthy: they wandered in deserts, and in mountains, and in dens and caves of the earth. 11:39 And these all, having obtained a good report through faith, received not the promise [see When Will You Be Judged?]: 11:40 God having provided some better thing for us, that they without us should not be made perfect." (Hebrews 11:36-40 KJV)

Those who mock His Gospel are mocking God:

"36:15 And the LORD God of their fathers sent to them by his messengers, rising up betimes, and sending; because he had compassion on his people, and on his dwelling place: 36:16 But they mocked the messengers of God, and despised his words, and misused his prophets, until the wrath of the LORD arose against his people, till there was no remedy." (2 Chronicles 36:15-16 KJV)"17:4 A wicked doer giveth heed to false lips; and a liar giveth ear to a naughty tongue. 17:5 Whoso mocketh the poor reproacheth his Maker: and he that is glad at calamities shall not be unpunished." (Proverbs 17:4-5 KJV)
Mockery is a fool's game.
"14:8 The wisdom of the prudent is to understand his way: but the folly of fools is deceit. 14:9 Fools make a mock at sin: but among the righteous there is favour." (Proverbs 14:8-9 KJV)
